Little Rain But Still Warm For A Couple Days

Weather has been quit nice around here for a couple of days. We have a few ups and downs this week as things will really change around the beginning of the weekend.I will try to explain everything leading up to Friday morning.

It might have been better if I would have done a blog sooner then I could have spoke about the cold front that came through. Since I am doing this blog after the fact we can begin to talk about a weak cold front that came that knocked temps down to the upper 40′s. This is still relativly nice

Heavy Rain And A Colder Rainy Friday

It looks as if we will be in the warm sector of this storm today and then tomorrow we will end up on the back side with a cooler rainy friday. Today I think for the most part will be dry as a potent surface storm developes to our south. The heavy rain will begin this evening as this storm begins to mature. On Friday we will be on the backside as rain showers begin to wrap around a mature storm system which also will allow for colder air to wrap around behind it. The treat for severe weather will stay to the South and West in Kansas and Oklahoma.

This storm is developing as we speak and the worst will be south and West, we should begin to see Rain and T-Storms move in later this evening, heavy rain is possible, and then tomorrow we wills showers and much cooler temps.

Have a careful evening!!!

Next Chance of Rain, Maybe T-Storms, And Major Cool Down

There are a couple chances of rain coming that we will begin talking about. We could see a mixed variety of weather coming- near 80 tomorrow, chance of rain Wednesday night, Thunderstorms Thursday into Friday, Showers ending by Friday night and then a pretty stout cold front for the weekend. If you loved last weekend, you might hate this weekend.

The first thing we will talk about is tomorrow nights slight chance of rain.

We will have a cold front passing ever so close to us from the north. This cold front could get close enough to where we might see some showers crop up in the area. The showers shouldn’t even become T-Storms and they maybe so light that you won’t even notice. Here is the current model forecast for tomorrow night……

40% Chance that this will get close enough to us to create some showers.

Thursday Through Friday morning looks to be the main event for this upcoming storm system. If we look at the 500 mb map we can see an interesting feature beggining to take shape….

A jet streak off the west coast will begin setting up and feeding this upper level low that is set to effect are area for the next couple of days.

The surface feature that will develope with this next storm system will be the key to whether we see the possibility of any Severe T-Storms or just a cold long rainy period.

This setup we could see mainly a T-Storm event as we would be more in the warm sector of the system. If this storm tracks further south then we could see more showers and less T-Storms.

Friday night we begin to see the stout cold front move through Friday and Friday we could see a frost or freeze depending on cloud cover. Saturday night might be more likely for the freeze.

Here is the outlook if we do end up in the warm sector….

We will see how it unfolds!!!!!

Have a great night!!!!!
